Pretzel, donut, croissant, whatever. This is something we at AF feel very adamant about. No more dead trees. I don’t want to wipe my soup strainer with a previously living creature’s dead tissue! Bread is more absorbing, especially the loaves with really broken down grain like white, buttermilk, oat, and Italian. Heck, grab a slice of honey wheat and dab it all over the old pie hole. Okay, okay, so bread used to be a living thing, too, but the smaller the organism, the less it matters. Wheat is way smaller than paper trees. Plus, bread factories smell waaaay better than those paper ones. It’s got to be good for the environment.
